Thank you for visiting Divergent Tabletop!

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to that information.

👤 Who We Are

Divergent Tabletop is a community-led initiative focused on hosting social board game events for neurodivergent adults. Our website serves to share event details and provide safe ways to join our community spaces.

📋 Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following information:

  • Name and contact details (e.g. email or phone number if provided via event forms)
  • Event participation details (via ticketing platforms like Quicket or Tally.so)
  • Preferences or pronouns (if voluntarily submitted)
  • Community interactions (within WhatsApp groups, Discord, or similar platforms)

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

🛠️ How We Use Your Information

Your data may be used for:

  • Managing event registrations
  • Sending event reminders or updates
  • Maintaining a safe and respectful community
  • Improving our services based on feedback

📦 Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to help run our community:

  • Quicket – for event ticketing
  • Tally.so – for forms and feedback
  • WhatsApp – for community chat groups

These services may collect additional data under their own privacy policies.

🧠 Sensitive Information

We aim to create a welcoming space for neurodivergent adults. While we may host discussions about mental health, neurodivergence, or personal experiences, we do not require you to disclose any personal, medical, or diagnostic information.

Important Privacy Considerations:

  • Information shared in WhatsApp groups or at events is not confidential and may be seen by other community members
  • We cannot guarantee that other members will keep information private
  • Community members are not bound by professional confidentiality requirements
  • Avoid sharing sensitive personal information (medical details, diagnoses, personal crises) that you wouldn’t want others to repeat or share

We strongly recommend:

  • Only share what you’re comfortable with others potentially knowing
  • Save sensitive discussions for licensed professionals bound by confidentiality
  • Use your judgment about what information to disclose in group settings

Member-to-member privacy

We encourage members to respect each other’s privacy and follow our community guidelines by not sharing other members’ personal information or stories outside community spaces without explicit consent, except in emergencies.

Despite these expectations, Divergent Tabletop cannot monitor or control what individual members share in their personal lives, including with therapists or other professionals. Please only share what you are comfortable with others knowing.

🗣️ Member-Generated Content

Our WhatsApp groups and events are peer spaces. We don’t write, review, or endorse what members share, and we don’t read every message.

  • Members are responsible for what they say — including any defamatory or harmful claims about other people (for example, false or unverified claims about a healthcare professional, an employer, or anyone else).
  • We may edit, hide, or remove content that breaks the Code of Conduct, or that we reasonably believe is unlawful.
  • We act as a hosting service for community content, not a publisher of it. The full wording is in our Terms and Conditions.

🔒 Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

  • Limiting admin access to private data
  • Using reputable platforms with security features
  • Avoiding unnecessary data collection

However, please note that no platform is 100% secure.
